Zalman B. Sapad is a dedicated criminal defense attorney with extensive experience in handling hundreds of criminal cases. He has achieved outstanding outcomes for clients across a wide spectrum of charges, from low-level misdemeanors to serious felonies. He prides himself on his thoroughness, in-depth knowledge of the law, assertive representation, and creative problem-solving, and he is always prepared to take a case to trial.

Zalman has particular expertise in cases involving DUI charges, evidentiary issues, and domestic violence. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he has a diverse background, having represented tenants in eviction court, creditors in contract disputes, and lobbied for policy changes in state law. He is also fluent in Spanish and Filipino.

As a published legal author, Zalman brings a broad range of experience and insight to criminal law, having clerked for a Superior Court judge and worked with Arizona’s leading criminal defense agencies. He has successfully argued for case dismissals in drug and alcohol-related offenses, including DUIs, disorderly conduct, and First Amendment issues.

In addition to his role as a staff lawyer with Lerner and Rowe Law Group, Zalman founded Arizona Justice Law to expand access to quality legal services for Arizonans facing criminal charges.
